The HERA Odyssey is a mythical and mystical tale of the heroine’s journey, taking us on a tour through the ages combining both dance and women’s history. Featured excerpts from Act I of the original evening-length dance play include Becoming Aphrodite where are drawn into her ancient dance that is sensually and emotionally charged, immediately followed by Priestess Pow Wow with a ceremony paying homage to the goddess where strength and beauty are expressed in their dance; a ritual we are privy to.
